Your Calling Can Be Profitable

Let’s talk about the lie that keeps far too many believers stuck:

“If it’s ministry, it shouldn’t make money.”

That belief will keep you broke, overworked, and quietly bitter while doing God’s work—when in reality, God is not threatened by your profit. He is the source of it.

Your calling can be spiritual and strategic. Holy and profitable. Mission-driven and income-generating.

Profit and Purpose Are Not Enemies

For years, I carried guilt anytime my work in childcare or family education became “too successful.” I felt like I had to choose between being a servant leader or a savvy businesswoman.

But then I realized: God had wired me to build. To delegate. To create systems that multiplied impact. And those systems created financial fruit—not just for me, but for my team, my family, and the families we served.

That’s not selfish. That’s stewardship.

You Can Say Yes to God and Get Paid

When we said yes to reopening our childcare center, it wasn’t about chasing money—it was about walking in obedience. But because we had been faithful to steward our finances, systems, and team well in previous seasons, we had the foundation to do it again—and do it better.

And yes, it’s profitable.

Because here's the truth: profit funds freedom.

• It allows you to say yes to your next calling without hesitation.

• It lets you hire the right people instead of burning out.

• It empowers you to give generously and grow sustainably.

Don’t Apologize for Building a Business That Blesses

Whether you’re in childcare, coaching, writing, speaking, or another mission-driven space—please hear this:

You don’t have to starve for your calling to be sanctified.

God blesses what you steward well. He isn’t asking you to work for free—He’s asking you to work in obedience, with excellence, integrity, and purpose.

If profit comes from that, don’t apologize.
Use it. Steward it. Sow it. And celebrate that He trusts you with it.
