Don’t Let the Busyness of Business Bury You

Don’t Let the Busyness of Business Bury You

Let’s talk about the weight you’ve been carrying.

The pressure to perform, expand, and show up with a polished smile while your soul is silently gasping for air.

If you’ve ever been buried under to-do lists, payroll panic, or the silent erosion of your healthand relationships…you’re not alone.

Rock Bottom Isn’t the End—It’s the Turning Point

At my lowest, I was battling financial fallout from a major accounting error, spiraling health issues, and the crushing shame of decisions that led to lost income and layoffs.

I had to pull out of an expansion project and felt like everything I’d worked for was unraveling.
But what looked like ruin became a moment of divine intervention.

At a music festival, desperate for a break, I stood in the rain with my children while John Reddick’s “God Turn It Around” echoed the cry of my heart. The downpour felt symbolic. It masked my tears and uncovered a deeper truth:

“I will turn this around. Watch me.”

That storm became a covering, not a curse. I walked away soaked in tears and truth—and finally ready to lead with intention.

Breakdowns Birth Breakthroughs

Within months, I received a $100K grant that helped stabilize our business. Later, a $500K grant opened doors to scale responsibly.

But the biggest breakthrough wasn’t financial. It was a mindset shift.

I had confused overwork with ownership. I thought being “everywhere” made me more noble. But all it did was bury the parts of me that mattered most—my joy, my health, my family.

Busyness is not proof of productivity. It’s often proof of a broken system.

Your Time Is Sacred. Start Treating It That Way.

What would you pay someone to mop the floors?
$10/hour?
Then why are you—an owner, a visionary, a dream builder—doing it yourself?

If your time is worth $100/hour, stop paying yourself minimum wage in tasks that don’t match your value. You’re not saving money. You’re losing opportunity.

Freedom doesn’t come from hustle. It comes from the decision to stop being the bottleneck.

Then create systems to delegate tasks that keep you busy and broken.
