The Freedom Formula: Why Outsourcing Is a B.O.S.S. Move
Stop Wearing Exhaustion Like a Badge of Honor
Let’s get honest: if you're doing everything in your business, you're holding it back. You’re not more noble for running yourself into the ground — you’re just more exhausted. And for many of us, burnout isn’t a sign of failure. It’s the inevitable outcome of doing too much for too long.
The real power move? Learning to outsource strategically — not just to lighten your load, but to lead with vision again.
The Hustle Season: Trying to Do It All
When my husband and I opened our insurance business in 2017, we were raising young kids, managing day jobs, and barely staying above water. Hiring locally wasn’t financially feasible, so we did what most new entrepreneurs do: we tried to do it all. But the overwhelm was constant, and we were wearing out fast.
The Breakthrough: Discovering Virtual Assistants
The game changed when we discovered the world of highly skilled Virtual Assistants (VAs) — especially professionals in the Philippines who bring excellence, loyalty, and a hunger to grow.
Our first VA exceeded every expectation. She wasn’t just helpful — she aligned with us and helped free our time. And through her, we realized that outsourcing isn’t about just getting out of work. It’s about building capacity. With her help, we could do and be so much more than what we were able to do and be alone.
What We Started Outsourcing First
We began hiring for what drained us: scheduling, billing, email, marketing, systems setup, HR help, and enrollment support. Tasks that needed to be done — just not by us.
When you choose what to outsource, it needs to be things that can be done behind the scenes methodically and taught through SOPs. As we built out this process together, slowly but surely, we reclaimed time, clarity, and margin. Most importantly, we could finally focus on the things that mattered most: our family, our health, and our purpose.
Growth Beyond What We Thought Was Possible
Not only did it help us beautifully blossom into multi-industry businesses and increase our revenue, but it also allowed us to homeschool our children full-time while being avid travelers.
Outsourcing became a mission that felt deeply purposeful. It gave us a way to create jobs that mattered, to pay fairly and generously across the globe, and to build a business infrastructure aligned with our values — not just in the USA.
More Than Assistants: True Partners in Progress
Today, many of our VAs hold degrees in education, IT, finance, and management. They're not gig workers — we truly rely on them for higher-level responsibilities like bookkeeping, business strategy, and client-facing duties.
They are truly our partners in progress, and we value their expertise and partnership. Knowing we are creating meaningful opportunities for hardworking professionals around the world makes this work even more rewarding.
Trusting Others Changed Everything
At first, it was scary trusting our VAs with different components of our business. But over time, we built beautiful things together, and experience showed us that there are truly great people out there with integrity who want to work for leaders that treat them well.
I’ve felt it over and over again, knowing many of our Virtual Assistants go above and beyond to help push our success forward. It’s truly beautiful. They’ve helped me step out of the weeds of HR, billing, enrollment, bookkeeping, scheduling, social media management, event management, emails, cold calls, SOP creation, and so much more.
This has allowed me to step fully into my lane of strategy and growth — while enjoying more freedom with my family.
Outsourcing Is a Leadership Decision
Outsourcing to a Virtual Assistant isn’t a shortcut or an excuse not to work. It’s a leadership decision to delegate parts of your business to a highly functioning professional at a fraction of the cost.
You often won’t find harder-working or more polite professionals than one of our Virtual Assistants.
The Question That Could Change Everything
So, if you’re buried in tasks someone else could do, ask yourself this: What is stopping me from exploring a Virtual Assistant?
Is it that you don’t know what to have them do? If you feel swamped and things that require your time keep falling through the cracks, chances are, you need an Executive Assistant.
I can show you how I do it. I promise — it’ll change your life.
